You may believe you are saving money by using compatible cartridges and buying your cartridges in smaller quantities but this is a long way from the truth.
We are here to highlight the facts so that you can start saving money as well as helping save our environment.

Original cartridges can be more environmentally friendly than ‘recycled’ cartridges
Premature recycled cartridge failure can result in extra deliveries, extra manufacturing, lost time and money.
When looking at the total pages printed from those cartridges tested, on average Original HP inkjet print cartridges
reached an average yield of 793 pages. This is 79.5% higher than the average yield of 442 pages of all refilled brands.

Recycled cartridge manufacturers may still condemn cartridges that are no longer suitable for re-use to either landfill or
incineration. All HP used cartridges, collected through the Planet Partners programme are recycled into a range of useful
everyday items. HP announced an industry-first engineering breakthrough that uses recycled content – from cartridges returned
through the HP Planet Partners return and recycling program as well as materials such as plastic water bottles – in the
manufacture of new Original HP inkjet cartridges. Since 2005, HP has used more than 32 million pounds (14,500 metric tonnes)
of recycled plastic resin in more than 565 million inkjet print cartridges. HP has pledged to triple the use of recycled material in
its inkjet products by 2010. All HP cartridges that enter the Planet Partners programme are only ever used once and never reach
landfill or incineration. 775,510 metric tonnes of electronic products and supplies have been recovered to date. Almost the total
weight of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Original cartridges simply last longer and are more reliable. More pages printing means fewer purchases, less ordering, fewer
invoices and payments to process, less maintenance, and fewer ‘end of life’ prints. More reliable means no maintenance calls
for spilt toner and no returns of dead on arrival cartridges.

Discarding used cartridges in landfill can actually cost you money and harm the environment
Discarded inkjet cartridges will take about 1,000 years to decompose in landfill sites. Sending cartridges to landfill also
costs money because of the landfill tax passed on to consumers through council tax or companies' waste collection costs.

Using HP Original cartridges can actually save you money and the environment
Even if you are already using HP Originals you can save even more money and reduce deliveries with the new HP Dual Pack options.
In addition to the HP Family of print cartridges you can save up to 10% on your HP LaserJet printing with an HP Dual Pack and up
to 20% on the new HP Inkjet 2-Packs.
| |
Less packaging, therefore less energy and materials make HP Dual Packs and Inkjet 2-Packs and Combo packs a more environmentally
sound choice. Smaller box sizes means more effectivie transportation and delivery.
